Project brief

The Adur Sea of Lights is an event is aimed at all ages with activities particularly created for children. The objectives were to create a positive and memorable association with the event through the logo and marketing materials to promote the festival. To support the objectives, the design of visual images, choice of typefaces and colours were informed by the desire to attract children and their families.

At the heart of the Adur Sea of Lights event are the children and families in the Lancing community and surrounding area. This event has been produced for, and has activities created for the children and there families. The design solution is primarily aimed at attracting and encouraging the families and children to the event. All the design decisions that were made have had the children and families firmly in mind.

The children are central the focus of the identity and to the creation of the Adur Sea of lights event. The activities have been introduced for them to enjoy. The children use their creative abilities at school and at home to make lanterns to be used in the final procession.
